There will be a local DJ playing music and several organized activities: zumba, yoga, art projects, a bookmobile, and free mental health and substance use screenings, as well as a Kids Zone set up behind the gazebo with yard games. Watt explained that the fair is “based around the eight dimensions of wellness, which is a model that we could all use, it goes beyond mental health, thinking of your environment, thinking of your social or spiritual or physical or intellectual life.” May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and in addition to the walk there will be a Wellness Fair with 40 community groups that will host activities and information booths around the town green. “Everyone’s been struggling, it’s time to have a big, fun social activity where people can get information and resources and can also reconnect and have a good time together and do the things we weren’t able to do for so long during COVID,” said Margaret Watt, Norwalk Partnership event coordinator. ![]()
